The Harwood Museum of Art, the second oldest New Mexico art museum - We have been proudly serving the community of Taos, N.M., our friends from around the United States and around the world on historic Ledoux St., since 1923. Our beautiful Pueblo Revival style art museum, partially renovated by famous architect John Gaw Meem, is home to a collection that includes contemporary art, traditional art, Native American art and Hispanic art.
The Harwood also features a regular rotation of world class exhibitions which are recognized across the country for their excellence. We offer outstanding art related events in a state-of-the-art auditorium, children's educational programs, activities for kids and a carefully curated selection of gifts and collectibles in our charming Museum Store.
From historically significant to cutting edge - Our collection and our exhibitions offer a more complete story of the Taos Art Colony, sharing a wider range of artistic genres and artistic styles all within a time-frame that spans from historic to contemporary.
